Cori Thiessen’s safety career started in 2000 when she was asked to assist HR in the development and deployment of a Health and Safety committee. This was Cori’s first step in an exciting new career path.
Cori’s HSEQ experience encompasses Oil and Gas, Manufacturing and Entertainment and Hospitality. Cori has recently left her corporate role to launch an independent Health and Safety consultancy, offering COR and ISO auditing and Health and Safety management systems development, implementation and training. Cori balances her 20+ years of corporate experience with formal education to educate, mentor and guide employees in safe work practices.

Cori maintains a healthy life/work balance, enjoying weekends at the family cabin, riding her horses on her parent’s ranch and spending quality time with family and friends.
Deb joined Propak Systems over 15 years ago. As a senior HSE Advisor, she provides technical safety guidance in a manufacturing site, with over 1,000 employees. Her expertise is called on for internal and peer auditing, continual oversight and improvement initiatives within the Health and Safety management system. No two days are ever the same!
Deb makes everyone around her feel valued: She is a true team player and she genuinely wants to see other people succeed and in return her staff is motivated to put in their best effort. With her infectious laugh, bright smile and BIG personality, she makes the workplace a little less formal, and a lot more fun!
Deb completed the safety program at University of New Brunswick, is a certified PHSA (Psychological Health and Safety Advisor), has Advanced 1st Aid training, is a trained Mental Health First Aider, and more.
As a long standing member of AOSAA, Deb previously served as Chair, Past Chair and Secretary. Her experience, insights and knowledge of the Association is invaluable.
Eric Campbell is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional with 15 years’ experience working as a safety professional. Before starting a career in Safety, Eric worked as a Chef in some of Canada’s most prestigious restaurants and landmarks. At the age of 40, Eric went back to the University of Calgary to obtain his certificate in Environmental, Health & Safety. Eric’s passion for safety can be seen by the success he has achieved within the Oil & Gas sector in obtaining and maintaining a highly effective & efficient safety program that has consistently yielded positive results. Eric inherently understands that the safety of the employees is paramount and he’s driven by the unrelenting pursuit of that goal.
Eric’s Motto “every employee should go home the same way they came to work” is a true testament to his passion for safety.
When Eric is not working, he enjoys golfing, scuba diving & playing pool and spending a lot of outdoor time with his family
Erik’s 15+ year career has taken him from the worksite to the board room, advising private and public business on government relations, occupational health and safety, transportation compliance, and product development. Erik is no stranger to the world of a health and safety auditor having most recently occupied the role of Director, Injury Reduction, Training, and Quality Assurance at AMTA.
As a co-founder at Able Consulting, Erik has returned to the role of a professional advisor providing services relating to vocational training, health and safety education, transportation compliance, professional coaching, business development, and more.
Colleen Manderville’s introduction to occupational health and safety began 22 years ago working as a recruiter on a refinery during a major construction phase. Recognizing the importance of health and safety, Colleen led the initiative to develop and implement a COR safety program for her employer. In 2006, Colleen took a lead role in managing the ISO 9001 program; both programs continue to maintain active certification and registration nationally.
Colleen has her Occupational Health & Safety Certification through the University of New Brunswick, and completed the Lead ISO Auditor training for ISO 9001 and 45001.
Colleen believes that every worker deserves to go home to their families the same way they arrived at work – safe and healthy – a true testament of her passion for her chosen field of work.
Colleen enjoys playing volleyball, road trips, and spending quality time with family and friends.
